Assignment #2: Putting Theory Into Practice As you progress through the nursing program courses, you will be able to identify the integration of the Cleveland State University School of Nursing (SON) program’s philosophy, conceptual framework and program objectives into practice. It is important to understand there is a strong relationship between theory and practice. You can’t have theory without practice and you cannot have practice without theory. This class will provide readings and insights into a variety of nursing theories and weekly discussion boards will focus on how these theories relate to the profession of nursing. The Cleveland State University (CSU) School of Nursing RN to BSN handbook is pasted below. This handbook describes the major concepts of the School of Nursing’s Philosophy, Conceptual Framework and Program Objectives. As a BSN student at CSU, it is important to understand the value of nursing theory and its application to education and future nursing practice. This assignment requires you to read and reflect on the CSU mission statement (p9), Philosophy, Conceptual Framework and Program Objectives (pg 10-14) provided to you in the student handbook. Complete the grid with your reflection on various aspects of the conceptual framework and give examples of these concepts from your practice.
