Students are assigned a classic CIO story that is due the 6th session. The deliverable will be 4 to 5pages, double spaced, of your analysis relative to healthcare the story on BB as your onlyresource with one exception: a brief status on where that HCO is in 2020. The format is;1. Background: Brief overview of the HCO (organization metrics, competitive environment,geography, history, etc.) at the time of this case study which is mid-1990s.2. Current state: The state of the HCO and IT systems prior to the transformation process(prior to implementation of software) and should include key issues and driving forcesfor change. (For most of the cases, the current state is in the mid-1990s.)33. Vision (Future state): The vision of the HCO and IT systems assuming plan andimplementation is successful, driving forces are addressed and policies and proceduresare in place for optimum patient safety and operational efficiency.4. Gap analysis: The difference between the current state and future state become objectivesof the project plan.5. The plan and implementation: of the implementation experience.6. Post implementation review: What was the outcome? What would you have donedifferently? Also, a brief note on where that HCO is today in 2020 (the only secondaryresearch required).
