Objective:
To ensure the successful execution of the Senior Capstone project by assigning students to specific committees. Each committee will be responsible for completing key tasks, reporting on their progress, and presenting their work to the senior capstone group. This assignment will help students develop leadership, collaboration, and project management skills within a production setting.

Assignment Overview:
Each BFA Dance senior capstone group must have one or two students assigned to each committee. The following outlines the committees, their responsibilities, and the expected deliverables for this semester and Spring 2024.

Committees and Responsibilities:

Production (Front and Back)

Responsibilities:
Oversee all production elements, including scheduling rehearsals and managing front and back-of-house operations during performances.
Develop and maintain the production calendar and confirm show dates.
Deliverables:
Fall 2024: Production calendar and rehearsal schedule by [specific date].
Spring 2024: Execute show with all production aspects managed by [specific date].

Reporting and Presentation:

Written Report: Each student must submit a detailed report on their assigned committee’s work, including:
Tasks accomplished.
Challenges faced.
Future plans with specific dates and deadlines.
Oral Presentation: Prepare a presentation summarizing your committee’s progress and future plans to be presented to the senior capstone group. Be prepared to discuss your committee’s contributions and outline the timeline for remaining tasks.
Submission Guidelines:

Reports and presentations are due once a week
All written reports should be submitted in Word, PDF and presentations in google docs
Include all timelines and detailed plans for both Fall 2024 and Spring 2024.
Grading Criteria:

Quality and thoroughness of the written report.
Effectiveness and clarity of the oral presentation.
Adherence to deadlines and assignment guidelines.
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration within your committee.
